IFO is used to automatically choose the optimal (or near-optimal) frequency combination that can be used by each cell for wireless systems such as GSM, LTE and Wi-Fi. The optimisation engine uses Ranplan's intelligent frequency selection algorithms to minimize the system interference (and therefore improve the network capacity). The frequency optimisation can be based on real measurement of received signal power or prediction by Ranplan’s radio propagation tool or a combination of both.
